Download LawGro MagicTime desktop app (Windows or MacOS), install it on your local computer so that MagicTime continues to capture your time and activities in the background while you work as you normally do.

This is just a one-time setup process.

For Mac:

Double click the downloaded LawGro MagicTime desktop app to install it.

Drag the LawGro MagicTime icon to the Applications folder and wait for few seconds while it installs.

Once installed, right-click on the LawGro MagicTime desktop app (either in applications folder or on the launchpad) and click Open. You will see this message while running MagicTime for the first time. Please move forward by clicking Open to start MagicTime. 

This message will be shown only for the first time and next time onwards you shall be able to launch the application by double-clicking it.

While running for the first time, the app will ask for a few permissions which you should grant for LawGro MagicTime to run properly.

You shall see the login screen when LawGro MagicTime starts. Please login to the desktop app using your username and password.

LawGro MagicTime needs the following permissions to be enabled to function properly: 

1. System Preferences › Security & Privacy › Privacy › Accessibility 

2. System Preferences › Security & Privacy › Privacy › Screen Recording 

3. System Preferences › Security & Privacy › Privacy › Automation

Once logged in, LawGro MagicTime shall capture all your time and activities in the background without any intervention from your end. You shall see this screen and time capturing status:

You may pause/start time capture at just 1 click of a button

For Windows:

Double click the downloaded LawGro MagicTime desktop app to install it.

Based on your settings, Windows may pop out this message. Click on "More info" and then click on "Run anyway" and then click on "Install".

Please wait for few seconds till LawGro MagicTime installs 

Once installed, double click on the LawGro MagicTime shortcut on your desktop or run it from Programs. 

You shall see the login screen when LawGro MagicTime starts. Please login to the desktop app using your username and password.

Once logged in, LawGro MagicTime shall capture all your time and activities in the background without any intervention from your end. You shall see this screen and time capturing status.

You can view your time log anytime by clicking "My TIme Log" on the desktop app.
